Just to qualify to enter the SSI Dive Con course is an accomplishment in itself.

As the first step on the diving professional level you will have achieved something fewer than one in ten divers worldwide reach.

A Divemaster is a leader - someone to whom others turn to solve problems, for advice, for assistance and just to make the dive more convenient and fun. You will also become a valuable assistant to SSI Instructors.

The SSI Dive Con course consists of three modules: knowledge development, waterskills and stamina, and practical application. As you progress through this course you will gain hands on experience of the day to day running of the dive industry, including dive trips, retail, equipment maintenance, sales and much more. Not only will your Instructor guide you through this course, you will have our whole friendly dive team to turn to for advice and support.

Pre-requisites:

To begin the Divemaster course you need to be a rescue diver with at least 20 dives (you can gain this with us before if required). The course can take as little as 12 days or you can go for a longer internship, we can schedule this course to suit your needs.
